W&T
Start-up
After correct entry of all parameters, the Save button is ac-
tivated and the entries can be saved. You are automatically
redirected to the start page of the Microwall.
Management Services
Configure whether and from which networks the Microwall
can be accessed via the WuTility management tool and
whether firmware updates can be carried out via this tool.
Both services are not absolutely necessary for the operation of
the Microwall. Firmware updates can also be performed at any
time via the web interface in the
Maintenance
menu branch.
i
To prevent preemptive information gathering and to re-
duce the attack surface, we therefore recommend disab-
ling this option in critical environments.
Configuration backup
Allows you to upload a configuration backup previously secu-
red by another Microwall. If the backup file is secured with a
password, this must be entered in the Backup Password field
before the Upload button is pressed. After the file has been
successfully checked, its content is accepted and the Micro-
wall operates with the new parameters after an automatic
restart.
i
Backup files also contain the new IP address of the Micro-
wall. To avoid an IP conflict, make sure that the original
or a previously programmed Microwall is no longer connected
to the network before uploading.
