8. OPERATION
8.1 BEFORE INITIAL USE
NOTE!
Before starting your new cooler for the first time, you should clean it inside and
outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (please also refer to chapter
“Cleaning and maintenance”
,
page 34).
Selecting the temperature units
You can switch the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. How to do it:
• Switch on the cooler
• Press the “SET” button (fig. 1.2, page 22) 4x.
•
Use the “UP +” (fig. 1.4, page 22) or “DOWN –” (fig. 1.3, page 22)
buttons to select Celsius or Fahrenheit.
The selected temperature unit appears in the display for a few seconds and will
be applied automatically. The display flashes several times before it returns to the
current temperature.
8.2 ENERGY SAVING TIPS
•
Choose a well-ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
•
Allow warm food or beverages to cool down first before placing them in
the cooler to keep them cool.
• Do not open the cooler more often than necessary.
• Do not leave the cooler open longer than necessary.
• Defrost the cooler once a layer of ice forms.
• Avoid unnecessarily low temperatures.
