7. Operating the device
7.1 Switching the unit ON / OFF
Switch [POWER] to the right. The power is now ON and the LCD screen illu
-
minates.
NOTICE
If the device is going to be out of service for a long period, please switch off
the power to preserve battery power.
7.2 LCD illumination
The backlight of the LCD screen illuminates when a button is pressed or the
dial is rotated. The backlight of the LCD screen goes out 10 seconds after the
last setting or action.
7.3 Saving the parameters
● After selecting a parameter, wait 10 seconds; the parameter will be saved.
● After selecting a parameter, press the [OK] button; the parameter will also
be saved.
● After selecting a parameter, turn off the power switch; the parameter will also
be saved.
7.4 Wireless control
The radio transmitter attached to the camera (“master unit”) can directly adjust
flashes (“slave unit”) via wireless control.
Parameters set on the radio transmitter will be synchronously reflected on the
flash that is being wirelessly controlled.
6.2 Using the radio transmitter
Wirelessly triggered studio flash (Walimex pro Mover 400 TTL, VC Excellence
Series, VC Excellence Plus Series, VE Excellence Series, Newcomer Series)
● When the camera is off, mount the transmitter Walimex pro Operator TTL T-N
to the camera hot shoe, then turn on the camera and transmitter.
● Set the transmitter and flash to the same group, channel, ID.
● Press the camera shutter button; the studio flash will be triggered at the same
time as the camera.

6.3 Mounting the transmitter to the camera
Slide the transmitter’s mounting foot fully into the camera’s hot shoe. Rotate the
locking ring clockwise to firmly attach the transmitter to the camera. Rotate the
locking ring anticlockwise to detach the transmitter.
