Installation of the outdoor sensor
Before installing the outdoor sensor, make sure that the data transfer between
the main unit and the outdoor sensor works from your chosen location
(preferably test at least 1.5 meters between the main unit and the outdoor
sensor). This makes it easier to make all settings. After you have made all
the settings, you can attach the outdoor sensor. If problems should occur
after mounting, this is usually because the distance is too great or there are
obstacles between the outdoor sensor and the main unit. For installation,
you will need the two U-bolts supplied, the metal plate which contains the
mounting rod (not supplied) and the 4 nuts for the U-bolts (see Figure 8).

Note
: Next to the antenna there is an arrow symbol with
the inscription „WEST“ (see Figure 9), which represents the
direction west. The device has been adapted so that the
display shows „WEST“ in the direction of the real north. The
use of a compass is recommended to determine the correct
direction. A permanent wind direction error occurs when the
outdoor sensor is not installed in the correct direction.
Now observe the spirit level. The bubble of the spirit level should be
completely in the red circle. If this is not the case, the wind direction, wind
speed and rainfall may be measured incorrectly. Adjust the mounting rod
accordingly. If the bubble is nearby but not directly in the red circle and you
cannot adjust the mounting rod, you can try inserting a small piece of wood
or card between the sensor and the top mounting rod to achieve the desired
result (this requires loosening the bolts and experimenting a little). At the end,
make sure the unit is facing north and then tighten the bolts.
