Dismantling, return and waste disposal
11.1.
Dismantling
WARNING!
Risk of burns! Cool the product sufficiently before dismantling!
To avoid damage:
•
Cool the instrument as described in Section 8, “Cooling the Dry Well
Calibrator”.
•
Turn off the portable Dry Well Calibrator and remove the plug from the wall
outlet and the power input module of the Dry Well Calibrator.
11.2.
Returns
For product returns for calibration please go to PalmerWahl.com and click on Request an RMA
(near top of page) and fill out the form to receive an RMA number and instructions to return your
product. Contact Customer Service at 1-800-421-2853 with any questions.
To avoid damages:
•
Use the original packaging whenever possible. Place the product in the center with the
packing material evenly distributed around all sides.
•
Apply a label indicating that it is a shipment of a highly sensitive measuring instrument.
11.3.
Waste Disposal
Improper disposal may cause damage to the environment. Dispose of the components of the
product and packaging materials in accordance with the regulations relating to waste treatment
and disposal of the country of use, along with all local disposal regulations.
Instruments with this label warn that they must not be disposed of in household
waste. For removal they must be returned to the manufacturer or delivered to the
local community waste disposal agency or recycler.
