Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers or other water-filled con-
tainers. It should also not be used in areas of high humidity.

If the appliance is being used in a bathroom, disconnect from the mains
immediately after use because proximity to water presents a risk, even
when the appliance is switched off.

Always position or store electrical equipment where it cannot fall into
water (e.g. washbasin).

If you have wet hands, do not use the appliance and never connect it to or
disconnect it from the mains.

Never touch electrical equipment that has fallen into water and is con-
nected to the mains, or reach into water to retrieve it. Disconnect from the
mains immediately. Have the appliance inspected at a service centre before
using it again.

Only use and store the appliance in dry rooms.

As an additional safety measure, it is recommended that a tested residual
current appliance (RCD) with a residual operating current of not more than
30 mA be installed in the circuit. Ask an electrician for advice.

The heating element is very hot during and also directly after use. Never
allow it to come into contact with the skin, scalp or eyes! This poses a burn-
ing hazard!

Keep the appliance away from small children, in particular during its use
and while it is cooling off.

Always maintain a sufficient distance from any flammable items.

During and after use, place the appliance on a solid and heat-resistant
surface.

Never leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the power
supply.

Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or storing it.
