Power Supply Eco
DC power supply
787-2742 / 787-2744
1 Safety Information
Do not work when devices are energized!
High voltage can cause electric shock or burns.
Switch off all power to the device prior to performing any installation, repair or
maintenance work.
Live parts are likely to be touched!
The party setting up the device is responsible for providing appropriate touch guards.
The installation regulations must be observed for each individual application.
Hot surface!
The surface of the housing can become hot during operation. Under high ambient
temperatures, there is a danger of burns when the device is touched. If the device was
operated at high ambient temperatures, allow it to cool off before touching it!
Select conductor cross sections as required for current load!
In the event of a fault, the output current of a power supply can be up to 1.5 × I
OUT
.
Only use conductor cross sections designed for this current load.

• Ensure proper handling to protect device during shipping and handling. Particularly during
transport and handling, ensure that no parts are bent and that electrical spacing remains
constant.
• Keep sufficient distance from adjacent components to avoid interfering with the cooling!
• The operator must provide a mains isolator in the device supply line. The
OFF
position must
be clearly marked on this isolator. The isolator must be located near the device where it can be
operated.
This product may only be used as described in this note and in the complete instructions. Use
other than this may represent a risk to safe, intended use and will nullify the warranty or guarantee.

4 Mounting
Install the device in the nominal position exclusively to ensure proper heat dissipation (see also
“View”):
• Front side (a) front
• Ventilation openings top and bottom
Other mounting positions should only be used at one‘s own risk.
Avoid electrostatic discharge!
The devices are equipped with electronic components that you may destroy by
electrostatic discharge when you touch. Please observe the safety precautions against
electrostatic discharge in accordance with EN 6134051/3
.
Pay attention while
handling the devices to good grounding of the environment (persons, job and packing).

Figure 1: Mounting
Figure 2: Removal
4.1.1 Installation to the DIN Rail
Install the device by snapping it into the DIN rail according to EN 60715 (see Figure “Mounting”):
1. Place the device with its DIN rail guide on the top edge of the DIN rail.
2. Press the device onto the DINrail [A] while simultaneously pulling on the latch (i) [B] until it
locks into place.
3. To ensure secure fastening on the DIN rail, fit end clips on either side of the device (e.g., Order
No.
249-117
).
4.1.2 Removal from the DIN Rail
1. To remove (see Figure “Removal”), pull down the latch (i) [C].
Use a screwdriver or an operating tool for this.
2. Tilt the device forward [D] and detach it from the DIN rail.
5 Wiring
Wiring is based on the contact type:
• Input contacts (h) and output contacts (b):
Use the respective operating lever to open the clamping unit (toolless)
• DC OK contact (f):
Use the respective pushbutton and an operating tool or screwdriver to open the clamping
unit.
All terminals use pushin technology for toolless wiring by plugging them in directly. Please note:
• Finestranded conductors must have a ferrule (insulated or uninsulated). Corresponding
conductor sizes are found in the “Wiring – Dimensions” table.
• You can plug solid conductors in directly even without a ferrule.
The following restrictions apply to the information in the “Wiring – Dimensions” table:
Input and output terminals:
No restrictions in conductor size
