This example describes how to use 2 WEGs in “Easy Config” via
Bluetooth
®
to
connect an EtherNet/IP device and an EtherNet/IP PLC. You can select the
relevant “Easy Config” mode using the respective MODE membrane button or via
the WBM.
Observe the documentation!
Follow the instructions for configuring EtherNet/IP communication in the
documentation of the devices used!
1.
Reset
both WEGs
to their factory settings.
2.
Connect the
1
st
WEG
to the EtherNet/IP device and the
2
nd
WEG
to the
EtherNet/IP PLC.
3.
Move the
1
st
WEG
to “Easy Config” mode 4.
That WEG can now be found and is enabled for automatic configuration.
4.
Move the
2
nd
WEG
to “Easy Config” mode 6.
This WEG should automatically find the first WEG and configure it as a
Bluetooth
®
client – and configure itself as an access point.
5.
The I/O device should now be able to communication with the PLC.
Add other WEGs
You can add up to 6 additional clients to the access point in this way. Each new
client is assigned the next available IP address within the current subnet.
Set RPI!
The “Requested Packet Interval (RPI)” for each I/O device must be set to
≥ 64 ms.
