Acknowledging Errors
Errors can be acknowledged internal or external to the module. The “Errors and
Error Types” table shows which are acknowledged internal and/or external to the
module or external to the module exclusively.
9.4.1
Error Acknowledgement Internal to the Module
If the “Acknowledgment type” parameter is set to the value “Module internal”, the
F I/O module automatically depassivates all error-free inputs after correcting an
error.
This ensures that the error was previously sent to the safe PLC in at least two
PROFIsafe telegrams before it is acknowledged internal to the module. This
ensures that even a very short-term error can be detected by the safe PLC on the
basis of the transmitted channel status in any case.
The restart behavior as well as the time response of depassivation must be
determined by the user.
Further measures may be necessary for module-internal error
acknowledgment!
The F I/O module automatically acknowledges a corrected error. Further
application-based and/or organizational measures are required!
9.4.2
Error Acknowledgement External to the Module in
PROFIsafe Mode V2.4
Only applies when using PROFIsafe Mode V2.4!
This acknowledgment variant only applies if
PROFIsafe Mode V2.4
is set via the
F parameters (F_CRC_Seed = 0, F_Passsivation = 0).
If the “Acknowledgment type” parameter is set to the value “Module external”, the
user must manually acknowledge a corrected error.
The acknowledgment request for a corrected error is displayed on the
F I/O module via the PROFIsafe status LED (green, 0.5 Hz, flashing), see
Section “Device Description” > “Indicators”.
Errors are manually acknowledged with a rising edge at the
“ACK_REI” variable
of the F periphery DBs (data blocks). Since the F I/O module also has channel
granular passivation in PROFIsafe Mode V2.4, a high signal must be applied to
the ChF_Ack bit in the WAGO control byte for at least two PROFIsafe telegram
cycles.
