Device Description
The field-side power supply filter (surge) 750-624/040-00x (Field Supply Filter 24
VDC HI XTR) is used to provide supply voltage in a fieldbus node.
It contains overvoltage projection for the field power supply via the power
contacts.
Depending on the variant, the power contacts of the field-side power supply filter
are only designed to the right as spring contacts (variants with suffix -001) or
simultaneously to the left as power jumper contacts (standard version and
variants with suffix -000).
This means that in combination with the 750-624/040-001 and 750-626/040-000
filter modules, the WAGO 750 XTR I/O-SYSTEM can also be used in shipbuilding
applications and onshore/offshore installations (e.g., platforms, loading facilities).
This is possible via certification under the standards of leading agencies such as
Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyd‘s Register. Proper (certified) operation is ensured
by using these filter modules.
This also applies to XTR I/O modules used in substations and/or telecontrol
systems as well as railway technology. The following filter modules must be used
to power the individual groups:
•
750-626/040-000 filter modules (system and field supply) or
•
750-624/040-001 field-side power supply filters (surge) (field supply only).
Important note!
For shipbuilding certified mode in conjunction with 750 XTR Series Fieldbus
Couplers/Controllers, the system power supply must be provided via
750-626/040-000 filter modules. They are optimized for use in systems with
insulation monitoring.
The I/O module 750-624/040-001 is powered via CAGE CLAMP
®
connectors
“2”/“6” (24 V IN) and “3”/“7” (0 V IN) from an external source. It makes the 24 V
field power supply the power jumper contacts designed as spring contacts for the
field level of the subsequent I/O modules.
The assignment of the connections is described in the “Connectors” section.
