Device Description
750-610/ 040-000 (Power Suppl y 24 VDC F use Diagn XTR)
The supply module750-610/040-000 (Power Supply 24 VDC Fuse Diagn XTR)
provides 24 VDC field side power to the downstream modules.
The power supply is derived from an external source via the 24 V and 0 V
CAGE CLAMP
®
connectors.
The assignment of the connections is described in the “Connectors” section.
The supply module receives the 24 V voltage supply for the field level from an
external source via the CAGE CLAMP
®
connectors and provides this potential to
subsequent I/O modules via the power contacts used as spring contacts.
Power from SELV/PELV power supply only!
All field signals and field supplies connected to this XTR I/O module
(750-610/040-000) must be powered from SELV/PELV power supply(s)!
Do not exceed maximum current via power contacts!
In this case, the maximum permissible current to flow through the power contacts
is limited by the fuse (6.3 A).
When configuring the system, do not exceed this current. If it is exceeded, an
additional internal system supply module must be used.
</dg_
The supply module (750-610/040-000) may only be used in connection with a
suitable fuse (not included).
</dg_
Additional information on installing or replacing a fuse is available in the section
"Startup and Service" > "Fuse Installation or Replacement".
</dg_
A green status LED indicates that the I/O module provides a 24 V power supply
to the power jumper contacts. The status is only displayed when the fuse is
intact.
</dg_
When the 24 V power supply is available, a red error LED indicates a fuse defect
or error.
The meaning of the LEDs is described in the
“Display Elements” section.
</dg_
The supply module occupies two bits in the input process image.
Bit 0 (operating voltage monitoring) is set when the 24 V power supply to the
power contacts (CAGE CLAMP
®
) is available and the fuse is intact.
Bit 1 (fuse monitoring) is set when a 24 V power supply is applied to the power
contacts (CAGE CLAMP
®
), but the fuse is missing or defective.
With consideration of the power jumper contacts, the individual modules can be
arranged in any combination when configuring the fieldbus node.
An arrangement in groups within the group of potentials is not necessary.
