Intended use
The LED violet light lamp is a leak detector for
identifying leaks in fluid systems.
The product is intended for professional use in
automotive workshops.
The product is intended for identifying leaks of
the following liquids:
• Fluids in air conditioning systems
• Refrigerants
• Engine oil
• Hydraulic oil
• Fuel (gasoline and diesel)
• Automatic transmission fluid
• Power steering fluid
The product is not intended for identifying
leaks in brake systems.
This product is only suitable for the intended
purpose and application in accordance with
these instructions.
This manual provides information that is nec-
essary for proper installation and/or operation
of the product. Poor installation and/or
improper operating or maintenance will result
in unsatisfactory performance and a possible
failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any
injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including
excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts
other than original spare parts provided by
the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express
permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those
described in this manual

Technical description
Suitable fluorescent dyes (not included in the
scope of delivery) are required for detecting
fluid leaks with the LED violet light lamp.
The supplied battery charger has a power
connector for 230 V
w
. For use in countries
with a different mains voltage, a suitable
adapter is required (not included in the scope
of delivery).
The beam profile and the light intensity are
adjustable. The beam profile can be widened
and narrowed to inspect larger or smaller
areas for leaks.
The product has a strobe light feature.
Display of the battery status
The voltage indicator light (fig. 1 6, page 3) lights up to indicate the battery status in the follow-
ing way:
Color Description Action
Green The product is fully charged. The product is ready to use.
Red The battery power is low. Charge the battery soon.
Red (Flashing) The battery power is very low. Charge the product immediately to prevent
full discharge of the battery.
