Inverter
➤ Plug the insulated connection cable included in the scope of delivery
into the inverter.
➤ Connect the connection cable to the 230 V socket installed in the
caravan.
10.4.2 Connection to the roof air conditioner
The roof air conditioner must be fitted with a 230 V mains cable and a two-
wire cable to the charging current distributor.
The corresponding safety socket can be found on the front of the inverter
(
see Fig. 10 on page 6 , 2).
To connect the charging current distributor, see the operating manual
ECL-75, ECL-100 included with the roof air conditioner.
➤ Insert the plugs of the two cables in the respective sockets and make
sure they fit tightly.
10.5 Functional test of the ECW-012VS inverter
There may be some brief sparking when connecting the connection
terminals to the battery terminals, due to the internal electrical capacities
being charged up.

Connect the negative connection cable first and then the positive
connection cable with the respective battery terminals.

Switch on the roof air conditioner (refer to the “Operation” section on
page 53).
The On/Off switch of the roof air conditioner is used to switch the inverter
on or off.
The inverter is equipped with a 230 V priority circuit. If an external 230 V
mains voltage is available, the inverter voltage is disconnected from the
output socket of the inverter and the socket, and hence the roof air
conditioner, is connected to the applied mains voltage. The inverter is
automatically activated if the mains voltage falls.
