Energy saving tips
z
Choose a well-ventilated installation location which is protected from
direct sunlight.
z
Allow hot food to cool down first before you place it into the device.
z
Do not open the cooling container more often than necessary.
z
Do not leave the lid open for longer than necessary.
z
Defrost the cooling container once a layer of ice forms.
z
Avoid unnecessarily low temperature settings.
7.3
Connecting the cooling container
Connecting to a battery (vehicle or boat)
The cooling container can be operated with 12 V or 24 V DC.
Caution – danger of damaging the device
Overvoltages can damage device electronics.
Disconnect the cooling container and other consumers from the
battery before charging the battery with a quick charging device.
For safety reasons, the cooling container is equipped with an electronic sys-
tem to prevent the polarity being reversed. This protects the cooling contain-
er against reversed polarity when connecting to a battery and against short
circuiting (see "Using the battery monitor" on page 41).
