or the clamping mechanism serviced. Press
the trigger briefly and the tool moves to its
starting position.
2. Auto and Manual mode:
In Manual mode,
hold the trigger depressed during setting of the
fastener until the fastener mandrel is sheared
off. In Auto mode you only have to press the
trigger briefly and the tool controls the setting
process automatically. To change from one
mode to the other, hold the trigger pressed for
10 seconds (until the white LED (H) on the tool
starts to flash 2/sec) and release again. Press
the trigger briefly and the tool moves back to its
starting position.
3. Deactivating the counter:
After 150 fasten-
ers, the setting tool prompts you to change the
collecting bin by alternate flashing of the yellow
and red LED (D). To activate or deactivate
this function, hold the trigger pressed for 20
seconds. The yellow and red LED (D) flashes.
The white LED (H) in the foot indicates whether
the function is activated or deactivated. If the
white LED (H) is lit continuously, the function
is deactivated. If the white LED (H) is flashing,
the function is activated.
FAULTS, ERROR MESSAGES
If fasteners are used beyond the specified perfor-
mance capability of the tool, the tool stops, the red
LED (D) comes on and the tool moves back to its
starting position. Wait until the LED (D) goes out,
then you can continue to work again.
When the battery (F) is discharged, the setting
tool is protected by a protection circuit. The setting
tool completes the cycle and then stops. The LED
(D) lights up yellow. Now replace the discharged
battery with a charged battery (F). The yellow LED
(D) goes out and you can continue to work.
If an incorrect battery is installed, the LED (D)
flashes alternately red and yellow. Please replace
the battery with a battery of the correct voltage
(F). The LED (D) goes out and you can continue
to work.
Rivdom ZERO
An acoustic signal sounds at every error message.
If LED (D) flashes alternately red and yellow,
please empty the collecting bin.
To reset the counter function it is necessary to
remove the collecting bin for at least 2 seconds.
If LED (D) flashes alternately green, red and yel-
low, service is necessary.
This message is repeated every 100 setting opera-
tions or after a restart of the setting tool.
Please send the tool to an authorised service
centre.
STUD HOLDER
All setting tools are equipped with a safety switch,
the “stud holder”, and thus conform also to the
Machinery Directive. This prevents the tool being
used without collecting bin (E). Never operate the
tool without collecting bin (E) or cover cap (J).
Never bypass the safety switch. If you have to work
in confined spaces, the cover cap (J) can be fitted
instead of the collecting bin (E). When working with
cover cap (J), hold the setting tool with the nose-
piece (A) facing downwards after each set fastener
to ensure that the sheared fastener mandrel drops
out of the tool to the front. Do not use fixed or
retainer nosepieces together with the cover cap (J).
This would result in damage to the tool!
HANGER BRACKET
If you wish to use the tool on a balancer, you can
attach the hanger bracket supplied (K) to the two
bores (C) provided. Take care not to stretch the
hanger bracket (K) too far apart so that it does not
lose its tension. Check that the hanger bracket (K)
is fitted securely before using the tool.
BELT CLIP
Attach the belt clip (O) to the foot of the tool using
the screw (M). A corresponding thread and two
slots (L) are recessed in the foot of the housing on
both sides of the tool. Check at regular intervals
that the clip (O) is still securely attached, otherwise
retighten the screw (M).
