Description and Use
FB series filters are designed to allow remote filtration
in forced ventilation systems and are particularly
suitable to be used with ventilation units. and heat
recovery systems Vort Nrg. These filters are used to
separate ordinary impurities like dust, down, dirt, etc.
Should you wish to use filter boxes where there are
units that have been originally been fitted with filters,
you are advised to remove such units before the
fitting of FB.
The filtering media is constructed from Composit
Polypropylene (F7).
The outer case is in galvanised steel and has an
inspection port that can be easily opened to allow the
routine maintenance of filtering elements. Circular
spigot
connections
are
available
in
standard
diameters of 100-125-150-160-200-250-315-355-
450 mm (DIN 24145).
FB series filters are designed to be used in rooms
with a maximum temperature of 70°C (F7 filter).
Safety
• Do not use this appliance for functions other than
those described in this booklet.
• After removing the appliance from its packaging,
ensure that it is complete and undamaged. If in
doubt contact an authorised Vortice Service Centre.
Do not leave packaging within the reach of children
or differently able persons.
• Certain fundamental rules must be observed when
using any electrical appliance:
- never touch appliances with wet or damp hands;
- never touch appliances while barefoot;
- do not allow the unit to be operated by
unsupervised children or disabled persons.
• This appliance is not suitable for use by children or
by individuals with reduced physical, sensorial or
mental capacities or by inexperienced or untrained
individuals, unless they are supervised or instructed
in its use by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must always be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
• Store the appliance out of reach of children and
infirm persons if you decide to disconnect it from
the power supply and no longer use it.
• Have the filters of the appliance serviced and
replaced only by suitably qualified personnel.
• Do not make modifications of any kind to this
appliance.
• The appliance must not be exposed to atmospheric
conditions (rain, direct sunlight, etc.).
• Install the appliance in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not place objects on the appliance.
• Regularly inspect the appliance for visible defects.
If any faults are found, do not operate the appliance
but contact Vortice immediately.
• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer a heavy
blow, have it checked immediately by Vortice.
• If the appliance does not function correctly or
develops a fault, contact Vortice* immediately and
ensure that only genuine original Vortice spares are
used for any repairs.
• The flow of air or fumes injected into the appliance
must be clean (that is free from grease, smoke,
chemical or corrosive substances or explosive and
inflammable mixtures).
