Windscreen wipers
Windscreen and headlamp washers

when the stalk switch is in position

Single sweep
Raise the stalk switch to make a
single sweep.
Intermittent wiping
You can adjust and set a suitable
speed for intermittent wiping. Turn
the thumbwheel (C) up for a shorter
interval between sweeps. Turn it
down to increase the delay.
Continuous wiping
The wipers sweep at normal
speed.
The wipers sweep at high speed.
IMPORTANT
Before activating the wipers during winter
ensure that the wiper blades are not frozen
in, and that any snow or ice on the wind-
screen is scraped away.
IMPORTANT
Use plenty of washer fluid when the wipers
are cleaning the windscreen. The wind-
screen must be wet when the windscreen
wipers are operating.
Windscreen/headlamp washer
Move the stalk switch toward the steering
wheel to start the windscreen and headlamp
washers. The wipers will make several more
sweeps once the stalk switch is released.
High-pressure headlamp washing*
High-pressure headlamp washing consumes a
large quantity of washer fluid. To save fluid, the
headlamps are washed as follows:
Dipped beam selected with the switch on light-
ing panel:
The headlamps are washed the first time the
windscreen is washed. Within the next ten
minutes, they are washed every fifth wash
cycle of the windscreen. In the event of a longer
interval the headlamps are washed each time.
Parking/position lamps selected with the
switch on the lighting panel:
•
Active Xenon headlamps are only washed
every fifth wash cycle irrespective of the
time that elapses.

Halogen headlamps are not washed.
