Driving under adverse conditions such as high ambient temperatures, trailer pulling, hill climbing,
driving long distances at high speeds, extended periods of idling or low speed operation, short trip
operation at freezing temperatures may require oil and filter changes more frequently (every three
months).
Drain the oil after driving while it is still hot.
Changing oil filter
Replace the oil filter at every oil change. If the oil filter is changed separately, 1/2 qt. of oil should be
added.

Changing coolant
Every two years or 30,000 miles the cooling system should be drained, flushed and refilled.
Remove the expansion tank cap.
Open the drain cocks on both sides of the engine block and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
Fill coolant through the expansion tank.
The heater controls should be fully open when draining and filling.
