I NTRODUCTION
Type designations
I n all correspondence concerning your
vehicle with the dealer and when ordering
spare parts, the type designation, chassis
and engine number should always be
quoted.
1. Vehicle type designation, code num-
bers for colour and upholstery; on bulk-
head.
2. Body number.
3. The designation for type and model
together with chassis
number are
punched into the front right-hand door
post.
Above the chassis number on the door
post there is also the code for dip and
primer paints.
Type designation and chassis number
plate located also on inside of left-hand
windscreen post.
4. Type designation, serial number and
parts number of engine; stamped on
engine left-hand side.
5. Type designation, serial number and
part number of gearbox; underneath
gearbox.
6. Number of final drive gear teeth and
reduction ratios; on a plate on the lower
part of the inspection cover.
