RCD Circuit Breaker – Fault Current Protection
All Voltima inverters are equipped with an internal fault current circuit breaker (RCD).
Note!
The grid feed into the vehicle must be additionally equipped with an RCD circuit breaker
according to the standardization.
To protect it in the event of an error, the 230V outputs of this inverter are protected by an
integrated fault current circuit breaker (RCD-protection-switch).
In the event of an error, the inverter switches off to protect all connected circuits and displays
an error code.
Note!
The RCD function must be tested at least every three months to ensure that it triggers
correctly.
This can be done in two ways:
1. Go to Setup mode > RCD on> Then press the Select button.
2. In information mode, press the DOWN or UP button and hold it for 3 seconds.
•
If the RCD protection function is ok, the inverter triggers and " PASS" is displayed.
•
If the RCD protection function does not trigger correctly, "FAIL" is displayed.
In this case, the inverter should not be used before it has been checked by a qualified
electrician.
