9. Operation
a) Inserting/changing the battery
The supplied battery must be inserted into the meter before initial commissioning. Proceed as
follows:
• Fold out the meter fully.
• Open the battery compartment cover (10) on the right inside by opening the lock with a coin
or screwdriver. Then remove the battery compartment cover. Do not remove the cover with
the fingers.
• Connect a 9 V block battery (included) with the correct polarity to the battery connector (note
po and negative/-) insert it into the battery compartment.
• Put back the battery compartment cover and tighten it again. Ensure that the the gasket is
properly seated in the battery compartment.
• The battery must be replaced if the display contrast fades or the meter can no longer be
switched on. In addition, the battery status indicator symbol (M) flashes if the battery is weak.
