3. Intended use
The DO-101 meter allows precise measurement of dissolved oxygen in water. Oxygen satura-
tion in the air can also be measured. The measurement ranges are 0 – 20 mg/l for dissolved
oxygen and 0 – 100% for oxygen saturation in the air. The probe is equipped with a temperature
sensor. The temperature is displayed and there is an automatic temperature compensation.
The salt content can be set to measure salt water. Height compensation can also be set to com-
pensate for the difference in atmospheric pressure. This improves the measurement accuracy
and prevents erroneous measurements.
The meter can be positioned so that the display is clearly visible with the rear clamp holder.
The meter is powered by a standard 9 V block battery. In addition, the meter can be operated via
the existing DC socket with an optional plug-in power supply. The power supply must provide a
stabilised voltage of 9 V/DC. In power supply mode, the internal battery is disabled.
The meter has no ATEX protection. Do not operate it in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex).
Do not operate the meter under adverse environmental conditions such as moisture, high hu-
midity, flammable gases, vapours or solvents.
Only the probe may be immersed in the water to be measured. The meter itself must not become
wet or damp.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may damage the product. Further-
more, there are dangers such as short circuit, fire, electric shock etc.
