8. Operation
a) Inserting/replacing the battery
•
Open the battery compartment cover (9) on the back of the battery compartment (11). Connect a 9 V 6LR61 block
battery to the battery terminal (10). Ensure that the battery is inserted in the correct polarity (+/-).
• Insert the battery into the battery compartment (11).
• Close the battery compartment cover (9).
•
Replace the battery when the battery status (18) indicates a low battery or when the endoscope finder does not turn
on. The average battery life with a new 9 V 6LR61 battery is approximately 4 hours.
b) Operation
• Press the
button (4) to switch on the endoscope finder.
• Press the button (6) to switch the display backlight on/off. Switching on the LCD display (1) backlight reduces
the battery life.
•
The endoscope finder gives an acoustic signal when a camera head is within range. The volume increases as the
endoscope finder moves closer to the camera head.
Press the button (3) to select the volume (17). The function indicator (13) should point to the volume setting.
Use the headphones in loud environments. The acoustic signal is not played through the speaker (5) when the
headphones are connected.
- Press the button (8) to decrease the volume.
- Press the button (7) to increase the volume.
You can choose from three volume settings or mute the sound.
