Make absolutely sure that the indicated voltage range is not exceeded or
fallen below. Otherwise the device would not function properly and a short
circuit may occur.
PUTTING INTO OPERATION AND USE
Setting temperature setpoint
Press the SET key briefly to proceed to the temperature menu. The lettering “SEt” lights up
if neither the password or alarm has been set. With the keys UP and DOWN you can scroll
through the following folders.
Pb1:
Indication of sensor value 1 (thermostat)
Pb2:
Indication of sensor value 2 (evaporator)
[SEt]: Setpoint setting folder
Set the temperature in the following way:
• When the parameter to be set is displayed, press the SET key.
• Press the SET key again to view the parameter.
• The value can be set by the UP and DOWN keys.
• Exit the setting mode by pressing FNC key.
• The measured temperature will be displayed again.
If the new setting should trigger alarm, you can determine the alarm parameter in
the folder [AL].

INTENDED USE
The ETC 974 is a temperature controller operated by 230 VAC, capable of controlling three
relays independently of each other by means of two temperature sensors. Thus the controller
enables operation of three different devices for temperature regulation.
