Performing service work on diesel par-
ticulate filter, engine codes CPYA,
CPYB, CPYC, CPYD, CPYE
The service regeneration is used to estimate when the diesel
particulate filter must be renewed. Therefore, record the meas-
ured values of display group 108 prior to each service regener-
ation. This allows for preparing the renewal of the diesel partic-
ulate filter in a timely manner.

Adapting ash deposit mass of diesel particulate filter, engine co-
des CPYA, CPYB, CPYC, CPYD, CPYE
Diesel particulate filter has been renewed
If the diesel particulate filter is replaced by a new und unused
diesel particulate filter, the adaptation value for ash deposit
mass must be set to “0”
If the diesel particulate filter is replaced by a used diesel partic-
ulate filter, perform a regeneration of the diesel particulate filter
with subsequent automatic ash deposit mass
adaptation
.
Engine control unit has been renewed
If the engine control unit has been renewed, perform a regener-
ation of the diesel particulate filter
automatic ash deposit mass adaptation
.
