Thank you for choosing a quality product from Voigt MT GmbH.

Note:

We expressly point out that brake parts are safety-relevant vehicle parts. For this reason, necessary work may only be carried out by suitably quali-

fied persons. Read these assembly instructions at your leisure until the end before starting work. These assembly instructions are only intended as

a guideline and have not been prepared for a specific motorcycle type. For vehicle-specific instructions, bleeding instructions, refer to the vehicle

manufacturer‘s workshop manual or ask your dealer.

Disassembly:

Adjust the brake cylinder (master cylinder) on the handlebars so that the fluid reservoir is horizontal. Then loosen the brake hose fastening screw

and pull it out carefully.

CAUTION:

Here, some fluid will leak out. Please collect it so that no components of the vehicle come into contact with it. This can cause damage

to the paintwork!

CAUTION:

As long as the system is open, the brake lever must not be operated! Should this happen, the brake system must be bled again. Plea-

se visit a specialist workshop.

Assembly:

Mount the adapter to the brake cylinder using the enclosed banjo bolt and the copper sealing rings (tightening torque according to vehicle

manual!). The milled cut-outs on the rear of the adapter match the anti-rotation device of the brake cylinder. Then the brake hose is screwed into

the adapter with the BMW banjo bolt using the copper sealing rings (21-23Nm).

Note:

Please do not loosen the small built-in Torx screw. This is

self-adhesive and only available for production reasons.

Normally, no bleeding of the hydraulic system is necessary. Put the brake cylinder back into normal position and operate the lever several times

(min. 3 minutes). If the brake pressure has not been established, apply pressure to the lever overnight (fix lever for example with a cable tie). The

system will then function normally again. In some cases, it may be necessary to bled the system.

Inspection:

Check the minimum fluid level on the window of the fluid reservoir tank and top up according to the vehicle manual if necessary. Remove any

remaining liquid on the outside of the parts and check the tightness of the connections. A brake test must be carried out at walking speed before

the first ride.

The work is now complete! However, a regular check of the product and the tightness of the components must be ensured. If a component

shows signs of damage, it must be replaced immediately.
