View User Roles and Organizations
You
can
display
a
list
of
the
organizations
to
which
a
user
belongs
and
the
user’s
role
in
each
organization.
A user
who
is
a
member
of
multiple
organizations
can
have
different
roles
in
each
organization.
To display the roles and organizations

the
left
pane,
select
Users
and
Groups
.

the
Users
tab.

Move
the
pointer
over
the
user
name
and
select
Properties
.
Send User Notifications
You
can
send
an
notification
to
all
the
users
in
a
workspace,
organization,
or
the
entire
installation.
You can
also
send
an
to
users
with
deployed
virtual
machines
in
a
specific
resource
pool
or
with
virtual
machines
stored
on
a
specific
datastore.
Before
you
can
send
an
notification,
you
need
to
verify
your
SMTP
settings
in
the
Web
console.

To send an email notification

the
left
pane,
select
Users
and
Groups
.

the
Users
tab.

In
the
Organization
drop
‐
down
menu,
select
an
organization.
Select
Global
if
you
want
to
send
an
to
users
with
deployed
virtual
machines
in
a
specific
resource
pool
or
with
virtual
machines
stored
on
a
specific
datastore.

Send
Notification
.

the
recipients.

Type
the
subject
and
message
and
click
Send
.
Lab Manager
sends
an
notification.
Managing Stranded Users
When
a
user
who
owns
objects
(such
as
virtual
machine
templates,
configurations,
or
media)
is
removed
from
an
organization,
the
user
is
stranded.
When
you
disable
an
organization,
all
its
users
are
stranded.
All
the
Lab Manager
objects
(media,
virtual
machine
templates,
and
so
on)
owned
by
a
stranded
user
are
saved.
A system
administrator
or
administrator
with
rights
at
the
organization
level
can
assign
these
objects
a
new
owner.
You
must
reassign
ownership
of
a
stranded
user’s
objects
before
you
can
delete
the
user.
