General Operating Procedure
1. If the unit is installed inside an enclosure, open the door or cover
completely and secure it in the open position to provide proper
ventilation.
2. Check the oil level in the sight glass.
3. Open the hydraulic shut-off valve (if equipped) and engage the hydraulic
system.
4. Switch on electrical power to the PREDATAIR. Make sure that the LCD
displays “System Ready”
5. Start the PREDATAIR by pressing the “ON” button.
6. When air operations are complete, stop the PREDATAIR by pressing
the “OFF” button. Residual air pressure will blow-down automatically.
7. Disengage the hydraulic system and close the hydraulic shut-off valve (if
equipped).
Cold Weather Operation
The compressor will not start if the hydraulic oil temperature is lower than

C). Observe the following precautions:

C); cover the PREDATAIR during transit (if exposed) and
pre-heat it by circulating hydraulic oil through the system

C); install a cold climate kit (A700146)

do not allow ice or snow to build up around the air filter and inlet control
valve
Hot Weather Operation
Thermal protection will prevent operation if the temperature is too high:

Hydraulic Oil
Use hydraulic oil that is correctly rated for the operational temperature range
of the equipment for your envronment.
Refer to the Owner’s Manual for detailed instructions on servicing,
repairs, parts replacement and accessories for extreme use
applications.
