High Altitude Mode
A mode for operation in high altitude areas.
Audio Settings (only for DS234 and DX255)
• Mute: Sets the mute function.
• Volume: Adjusts the audio volume level.
Lamp Settings
• Lamp Mode: Using Economic/Dynamic ECO mode will reduces system noise and
power consumption. If the Economic/Dynamic ECO mode is selected, the light
output will be reduced and result in darker projected pictures, the projector
protected for longer working life.
• Lamp Spa Mode: Keeps the lamp voltage at a lower level over the first few hundred
hours of lifetime and keep the maintenance at a high level over a longer period of
time. Selecting On activates Lamp Spa Mode after turning off the projector.
However, you can still select for this time to execute Lamp Spa Mode or not for
every shutdown. If you want to cancel the Lamp Spa Mode, press POWER again to
skip it when the pop-up message displays to activate the Lamp Spa Mode soon.
• Reset lamp timer: Resets the lamp Hour to 0 hours.
• Equivalent lamp hour: Display the lamp’s elapsed operating time (in hours).
Security Settings
• Change Password: You will be asked to enter new password or the current
password before changing to a new one.
• Change Security: You can activate or disable the password protection once the
password is input.
Baud Rate
Selects a baud rate that is identical with your computer’s so that you can connect the
projector using a suitable RS-232 cable and update or download the projector’s
firmware. This function is intended for qualified service personnel.
Test Pattern
Selecting On enables the function and the projector displays the grid test pattern. It
helps you adjust the image size and focus and check that the projected image is free
from distortion. pattern.
Closed Caption
• Closed Caption Enable: Activates the function by selecting On when the selected
input signal carries closed captions.
• Caption Version: Selects a preferred closed captioning mode. To view captions,
select CC1, CC2, CC3, or CC4 (CC1 displays captions in the primary language in
your area).
Reset All Settings
Returns all settings to the factory preset values.

The following settings will not be reset: User 1, User 2, Projector Installation, High
Altitude Mode, Security Settings and Baud Rate.
