Making Movies
The movie mode allows you to record video clips at a resolution of either of 320 x
240 or 160 x 120 pixels. By dialing the MODE switch to the movie [
] position,
the camera can capture short movies along with voice recording. The camera
shows the preview image on the LCD monitor.
(In movie [
] mode, the LCD monitor cannot be turned off.)
1. Set the mode dial to movie [
].
2. Compose your scene, press the shutter button down halfway to set exposure
and focus, then press down fully to capture the image.
Recording begins. [REC] appears on the LCD monitor.
3. To stop, press the shutter button again.
Recording will automatically stop when there is no more free space on the SD
Memory Card, or when the maximum size that a single movie can be recorded
is reached.
Note:
In movie [
] mode, EV compensation cannot be set.
In movie [
] mode, the flash mode is automatically set to [OFF].
A movie recorded at 320x240 is displayed on the entire LCD monitor, while a movie
recorded at 160x120 is displayed in the center of the screen.
