When the images are taken using the LCD monitor, the count down is
displayed.
In interval mode, the camera will appear to turn itself off between shots. The
camera is actually in a power-saving sleep mode between shots.
Note:
After an image is taken using self-timer, the self-timer mode is turned off.
The self-timer is not available in the continuous capture mode.
The self-timer is only available for 2 or 10 seconds delay in the movie [
] mode. The
camera automatically starts recording after 2 or 10 seconds.
Flash
The four-mode flash is designed to function automatically when lighting conditions
warrant the use of flash. You can take an image using a flash mode to suitable
your circumstances. If you change the flash mode, the camera will retain that setting
when the camera is turned off.
1. Set the mode dial to one of [

P
], [
Tv
], [
Av
], [
M

and power on the camera.
2. Press the [ ] button repeatedly until the desired
flash mode appears.
When you toggle the flash button in auto [
]
mode, the available flash modes are displayed in
the following order.
3. Compose your image and press the shutter button down halfway to set exposure
and focus, then press down fully to capture the image.
Note:
After the flash fires, it takes approximately five to ten seconds to recharge the flash
capacitor in preparation for the next shot, as indicated by the orange LED.
