INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION (ENGLISH)
GENERAL
This cooker hood can be used either as absorption or filtering version.
ASPIRATION VERSION
Air is absorbed and sent outside.
FILTERING VERSION
Air is absorbed, cleaned and sent back to the room.
SAFETY MEASUREMENTS
•
Before you start with any cleaning or maintenance work, unplug the
appliance or disconnect the general switch.
•
The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting
fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. The regulations
concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
•
There must be sufficient ventilation in the room when the kitchen hood
is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels (not
applicable to appliances that only discharge the air back to the room).
•
Verify if the voltage corresponds to the one mentioned on the plate
placed inside the cooker-hood.
•
Installation at fixed wiring has to be performed by a qualified
electrician. Pushing a plug into a socket for connection can be permed
by the user.
•
If the hood is directly connected at fixed wiring, building installation
has to provide a means to separate the hood from the mains
(separating device with at least 3 mm contact distance). If the hood is
connected with plug and socket, the socket outlet has to be accessible
because the user has to pull the plug if he wants to separate the hood
from the mains.
•
Make sure that the domestic electric installation guarantees the proper
earthing.
•
The minimum safety distance between the cooking hotplate and the
cooker-hood is 70cm.
•
Never cook flambé dishes under the cooker hood. Always check the
chips during frying: overheated oil is inflammable.
Keep the regulations of local authorities concerning how the air must be
ejected.
The above instructions are respective to the European norms 89/336/EC and
73/23/EC as well as to the harmonized norms 60335-1-31 and 60335-2-31.
