OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The inverter welder is designed to perform electrode
welding
both
in
commercial
and
industrial
environments. It is a portable power tool, suitable for
operation through the electrical grid or generator.
Where a generator is used, this equipment must ensure
adequate voltage, frequency and power supply, in
accordance with the technical specifications of the
power tool. It is important to check these conditions,
because many generators produce peak voltages that
can damage the inverter welder.
Do not misuse or overload the inverter welder. The
inverter welder is electronically protected against
overloads, however, constant overloads cause the
overload relay to trip and shorten the service life of the
machine.
When the overload relay is triggered automatically, the
inverter switches off. If the overload relay is activated,
you cannot weld.
It is forbidden to use the inverter welder with a duty
cycle higher than the values shown in the technical data.
The duty cycle refers to the percentage of working time
that a machine will safely operate within a certain time
period, at a given amperage (10min are considered as
one complete cycle). For example, if an inverter welder
has a rated duty cycle of 60%, it means that the
appliance must weld 6 min and cool down for 4 min.
If the power source voltage is lower than the technical
data, there may be an extremely low welding current or
unstable welding arc. If the voltage is higher than the
technical data it may cause the thermal overload relay
to be triggered or the inverter welder to operate
incorrectly.
When using the inverter welder, you should take into
consideration some care and procedures of use in order
to avoid accidents and to ensure a long-time service life
and proper operation of the appliance:
▪
If welding in small areas, make sure that they are well
ventilated;
▪
Do not weld in areas that are being painted or
cleaned;
▪
When welding painted workpieces, use a protective
respiratory mask;
▪
Wherever it is necessary to protect the floor or the
surrounding area of the workplace, mark the area by
placing a safety fence;
▪
Avoid operating the inverter welder in places with
high dust concentration;
▪
Do not operate the inverter the inverter at greater
than 40°C ambient temperature;
▪
Do not place freshly welded parts next to flammable
substances;
▪
Do not use the inverter welder to cool or thaw frozen
pipes or electrical cables;
Start and stop
1.
Plug in the power cord;
2.
Before switching on the inverter welder, make sure
that the electrode holder (8) or the electrode is not
in contact with the welding table, workpiece or other
conductive object to prevent accidental welding arc
when the appliance is switched on;
3.
To switch on the inverter welder, set the "ON/OFF"
switch to position (I);
4.
To switch off the inverter, set the "ON/OFF" switch to
position (0).
How to operate
1.
Place the inverter welder on a stable, horizontal and
dry surface. Make sure that the ventilation slots are
not clogged;
2.
Attach the earth clamp (7) to the workpiece. Make
sure that the earth clamp is in contact with the
workpiece to be welded and located as close as
possible to the weld point;
3.
Plug in the power cord and set the ON/OFF switch to
position (I);
4.
The display (4) will show the selected welding current
value and the fan will start running;
5.
Adjust the welding current according to the
characteristics of the electrode used or the work to
be performed. To adjust, use the welding current
adjustment knob (3);
6.
Insert the electrode into the electrode holder (8);
7.
You can now start welding;
8.
After you have finished welding, switch off the
inverter welder and remove the electrode from the
electrode holder.
