 Check if all nuts and screws are

properly tightened. It is important to

check the machine regularly in order to

ensure its security and efficiency;

 After assembling the discs and

before operating the equipment, test

it at maximum speed at no load for a

few seconds. Verify if there are any

misalignments on the disc or any

condition that may affect its normal

operation. All moving parts must spin

softly without abnormal noises;

 Make sure that the cutting disc spins

according to the arrow shown on the

blade;

 Check if the safety devices are

in perfect conditions and working

correctly. Never use the machine if

any safety device is missing, inhibited,

damaged or worn;

 If the switch is damaged or does not

allow controlling the tool, it must be

repaired or replaced in a way to avoid

a sudden start;

Perform all the needed adjustments

and in case of doubts ask your

distributor for assistance.

2.4 - WHILE OPERATING

Keep other people away from

the working area. Never use the

tool if animals or people, particularly

children, are nearby.

Keep the working area clean, organized

and well illuminated (brightness from

250 to 300 lux), in order to reduce

the risk of accidents.

Always wear personal protective

equipment. Wearing safety goggles,

safety masks, ear protection, non-slip

safety footwear, long sleeve clothing,

gloves and helmet under proper

conditions reduces the risk of injuries.

Everyone that enters the working

area must wear personal protective

equipment. Fragments can be

projected during operation that may

cause injuries outside the direct

working area.

The clothing worn while operating the

tool must be appropriate and tight,

such as a work coverall. Do not wear

loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,

clothing and gloves away from the

moving parts.

To ensure a safe operation, you must:

 The discs rated speed must be, at

least, equal to the maximum speed

shown in the technical specifications of

the machine;

 When using the machine, place

yourself in a stable position and well

balanced. Hold the equipment firmly to

ensure a continuous operation and to

withstand unexpected situations, such

as a kickback;

The kickback is a sudden reaction that

happens when the machine is switched

on and the cutting disc gets stuck or it’s

pressed. The disc’s kickback causes

the tool to be forced in the opposite

direction of the disc, towards the user.

The kickback occurs due to an incorrect

use of the tool or due to a not proper

working procedure which can cause

serious injuries to the user. To avoid

the kickback, the following precautions

must be considered:

- Place and keep the disc in the right

position and well tightened;

- Do not place yourself in the area

where the machine will move in case of

a kickback;

- When the cutting disc gets stuck or

the cutting action is interrupted for any

reason, release the “ON/OFF” switch

immediately and keep the saw steady

until the blade stops completely;

- Never pull the saw backwards nor

try to remove the work piece while

the blade is rotating, otherwise it may

occur a kickback;

 To avoid displacements or projections,

use fixation devices or a workbench to

ensure a safe operation. Place and

keep the work piece at the right position

and well tightened;

 The external diameter, the thickness

and the cutting disc notch must match

the tool’s technical specifications.

Wrong size discs may not be properly

protected or controlled;

 The fixing screws of the cutting angle

regulation guides and blade depth and

the fixing screw of the cutting guide

must be well tightened before initiating

the cutting process. Any changes on the

blade while cutting may cause machine

damages and injuries to the user;

 Make sure that the ventilation openings

are not blocked while operating the

machine. Do not place any objects over

the grids;

 The discs may overheat during

operation. Avoid touching them. They

might burn the user;

 Make sure that you don’t damage

the electrical circuits, gas and water

pipes when operating the equipment

in drywalls or other existing surfaces.

Any of these damages may cause fires,

explosions, electrical shocks, expensive

losses and a kickback;

 Every time you use the machine

inside confined or poorly ventilated

spaces it is recommended the use of an

equipment for extraction and collection

of particles connected to the saw;

 Avoid using the machine on surfaces

coated with paints containing lead or

other materials harmful to health. Any

contact or inhalation of dust may cause

allergic reactions and / or breathing

diseases;

2.5 - MAINTENANCE AND

CLEANING

Before inspection, maintenance and

cleaning works, turn the equipment off

and remove the battery.
