Headphone Jack
Headphone Jack “PHONES” (25) for head-
phones with 16-32 Ohm impedance (3.5mm
jack). Use corresponding adaptors (Electronics
shops) if you have different plugs. The speakers
are automatically switched off when the head-
phones are being used.
CAUTION!
Listening at high power for long periods of time
can damage users’ ears.
POWER ON/OFF
When power is connected for the first time or if
power supply has been reinstalled:
the LCD display is switched on the following
way:
- Press the POWER (12) button, slide the
FUNCTION selector (1) to your desired
mode (CD, FM, AM or TAPE with Play button
pressed).
- To turn off the power, press the POWER
button (12) or slide the FUNCTION selector
(1) to TAPE position.
BASIC OPERATION
Volume Control
Once the required station has been located,
adjust the VOLUME controls (6) to the desired
level.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Set the FUNCTION selector (1) to AM or FM
mode.
2. Tune the TUNING control (5) to the desired
station.
3. When finished listening, slide the FUNCTION
selector (1) to TAPE (RADIO/CD OFF)
position.
SETTING THE CLOCK TIME (In Standby
Mode or Tape Mode)
This clock indicates time in 12 or 24 hours.
1. With the clock showing in the display, press
CLK ADJ. button (16) and hold for more than
3 seconds to select 12H or 24H format.
2. Press the NEXT button (10) to set-up
hours. Press the BACK button (9) to set-up
minutes.
3. Press the CLK ADJ. button (16) to confirm
the time setting.
4. If the system is set to 12-hour mode, if it’s
afternoon, the PM icon will be lighted on.
Playing compact disks
1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
2. Set the FUNCTION selector (1) to CD mode.
3. If there is no CD inside or disk is damaged,
the LCD will show “no”.
Loading a disc
1. Lift up the CD door open lid (7) to open the
CD door.
2. Put a disc inside and then close the CD
door. After that, reading TOC will start.
