Install and remove the brush attachment only
after the unit has cooled down completely.
•
Before cleaning the garment steamer, pull the
power plug out of the mains socket and let the
unit cool down.
•
Never pull the power cord when disconnect-
ing the unit from the mains. Hold the power
plug and carefully remove it from the mains
socket.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it should be
replaced by the manufacturer, a maintenance
service or similar qualified personnel to avoid
danger.
•
Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not dis-
assemble the unit. Should any failure occur
or should the unit be dropped, unplug the unit
and contact an authorized service center out
of the list of contact data included in your war-
ranty certificate and posted on the website
www.vitek.ru.
•
Transport the unit in the original package only.
•
Before putting the garment steamer away for
storage, remove any remaining water from the
water tank.
•
Keep the unit out of reach of children and dis-
abled persons.

Application
The garment steamer can be used on all types
of fabrics for smoothing folds on clothes and for
creasing trousers and shirts. If you are unsure
about steaming a certain type of fabric or clothes,
please follow the recommendations on the prod-
uct label.
If no such information is available, try to steam the
fabric on the reverse side.
When steaming such fabrics as silk or corduroy,
keep the garment steamer at some distance from
the fabric.
Use the brush attachment (1) to remove lint or
threads from the fabric.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low
temperature keep it for at least three hours at
room temperature before switching on.
–
Unpack the unit, remove any stickers that may
disturb operation.

Make sure that the unit operating voltage corre-
sponds to the voltage of your mains.
–
Wipe the garment steamer body with a slightly
damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
–
Press the buttons (4) and remove the water
tank (5).
–
Open the water inlet. Fill the water tank (5) with
water and close the water inlet tightly. Wipe
water drops on the unit body with a dry cloth.
–
Set the water tank (5) to its place.
–
Insert the power plug into the socket, the on/off
indicator (8) will light up.
–
Press the on/off button (7), the unit will start
heating up, the indicator
(8) and the low
steam supply level indicator
(9) will start
flashing. The unit is ready for operation when
the indicators (9) and (10) glow constantly.
–
Take the garment steamer with your hand and
hold it near the steam supply button (3).
–
Consequently press the button (3) to select the
steam release intensity.
–
One pressing of the button (3) - low steam sup-
ply level, the indicator (9) glows constantly.
–
Second pressing of the button (3) - high steam
supply level, the indicator (10) glows constantly.
–
Third pressing of the button (3) - the steam
supply is switched off, the indicators (8, 9, 10)
glow constantly.
–
To clean the steam compartment, direct the
steam flow onto a kitchen towel, for instance.
–
After the unit operation, unplug the garment
steamer and let it cool down.
Note: When the garment steamer is switched on
for the first time, the heating element burns and
may issue smell and a small amount of smoke.
This is normal.
Water selection
Use tap water to fill the water tank (5). If tap water
is hard, we recommend mixing it with distilled
water in proportion 1:1. If tap water is too hard, mix
it with distilled water in proportion 1:2 or use dis-
tilled water only.
Steamer operation
–
Set the brush attachment (1) on the garment
steamer.
Note: If you use the steamer without the brush
attachment (1), the distance between the steamer
and the steamed item should be at least 5 cm.
Attention!
–
Do not plug the garment steamer in if the
water tank (5) is empty.
–
Unplug the unit and wait until it cools down
before installing or removing the brush
attachment (1).
–
Move the lock (4) upwards and remove the
water tank (5) from the unit body.
–
Open the water inlent and fill the water tank (5)
with water, close the water inlet tightly.
–
Set the water tank (5) to its place until clicking.
