6. TROUBLESHOOTING
There were no particular problems related to this product. Below we provide the quick answers to
some situations that do not allow proper operation.
Why after searching devices, including via IP, the product is not detected?
We found problems with some routers / modems provided by Telecom which do not allow the passage of
information on some of the ports used by our products. However, the vast majority of the time is a problem
related to the fact that the device is not properly connected to the LAN. Then check the connection by fol
-
lowing the steps that are found in Ch. 2 - First installation.
The product behaves abnormally and does not seem to respond to input. What can I do?
Generally the problem is solved by restarting the application via Q-Discovery by clicking the “Reboot System”.
The product starts and shows the following message “Q-Retail has terminated abnormally”.
It is likely that in the setup operations there may be a network error and damaged inside the settings file. If
so follow these simple steps:
1.
Connect a mouse in one of the two USB ports
2.
Right-click in the center of the screen to close the application
3.
Go to the main menu and select the application “File Manager”
4.
Go to the device memory and go to the folder “visel”
5.
Copy the file “settings.xml” clicking and holding the left mouse button
the filename. This will open a popup with some things you can do: select “Copy”.
6.
Getting to the folder of your USB stick, hold the left mouse button on any file and select
“Paste”.
7.
Pull the pen drive and send the file “settings.xml” email to [email protected] providing your
telephone number to be contacted.
