3. Identify your cradle and software settings 

 
Your  MBU-3000  is  designed  to  work  with  4  different  types  of 
Mercedes original cradles:

6310/6310i (Type 1)

6310/6310i (Type 2) 

 
Once you have determined the cradle type you will need to choose the 
right software setting on your MBU-3000 so it can communicate with 
your original cradle. The software setting dip switch is located at back 
of  MBU-3000  (see  “

Section  2.  Understanding  your  MBU-3000 

buttons and LED indicators”
