10) Referring to the plan, carefully mark the positions
of the wing struts on the fuselage and wings
using a soft pencil. On one side, position the
bottom end of the ‘V’ on the fuselage and then
offer the ends up to the wings. Carefully bevel
and adjust the ends to meet the marked positions
on both the fuselage and the wings, checking
each time an adjustment is made. Continue with
this ‘trial and error’ until the struts are a good fit,
then glue them in position. Repeat for the struts
on the other side.
11) Markings are provided on lightweight paper.
They should be cut out and glued in position with
a glue stick using the colour scheme diagram (Y)
included at the back of this booklet.
12) Fit the motor peg made from the cocktail stick/
toothpick provided, cutting it to length leaving
about 5mm sticking out each side. Use the scrap
ends dipped in cyano and rolled round the peg
hole to harden it, trying the stick for a good
‘squeaky’ fit each time you add more cyano.
BE CAREFUL! Wait for the cyano to dry at
each stage before trial fitting the stick to avoid
it being permanently bonded!
