Parameter description:
State:
It is used for the activation or de-activation of DHCP Option 82. Default is
disable.
Action:
The Action that the switch would like to play in DHCP Option 82. tree
types of action, including Replace , Keep and Drop are offered for option.
Default is Replace.
Trust Group:
It is the Trust Group which signs for DHCP Option 82.
When you enable the DHCP relay agent option 82 on the switch, these events
occur:
The DHCP server unicasts the reply to the relay agent. The relay agent
makes sure that the packet is destined for it by checking the option-82 data that
inspecting the remote ID and possibly the circuit ID fields in the packet. And
then the relay agent removes the option-82 field and forwards the packet to the
receive port that connects to the DHCP client, which sent the DHCP request.
The Trust Port is used for attaching cables to the DHCP server.
