14. Z-WAVE™ NETWORK
A Z-Wave™ technology makes it possible to create networks in
which each device automatically takes part in propagating the
signal, repeating it toward the next one. This principle is able to
overcome some of the physical obstacles to radio signal propaga-
tion within the home.
Interoperability with Z-Wave™ devices
A Z-Wave™ network can integrate devices of various classes, and
made by different manufacturers.
The 01930 (radio transceiver base station for time-programmable
thermostat), 01933 (single channel two-way radiofrequency actua-
tor) and 10934 (four-channel two-way radiofrequency actuator)
devices can be incorporated into existing Z-Wave™ networks.
This is accomplished as follows:
• for the 01933 and 01934 devices, use the programming key P
(fig.3.2.1) to carry out device inclusion, association and exclu-
sion.
• for the 01930 device, proceed as described in paragraph 6.2
(replication) and in paragraph 7.3 (exclusion)
