installation instructions
-
Do not use outside (closed environments only)
-
Create a level surface before mounting on rough surfaces.
Unevenness may result in switch malfunctions.
-
During fitting, ensure the mounting position (
O
= top,
I
= bottom) indicated on the back of the
transmitter
(3)
.
-
NEVER install the wall transmitter in a metal casing or in the immediate vicinity of large metallic
objects. Installation on the ground or close to the ground is not recommended.
-
Do not interchange the finger(s)
(2)
of the transmitter
(3)
with others.
4.2
Installation
-
Clip the finger(s)
(2)
on to the transmitter

-
Position and engage the frame
(1)
on the assembly.
Note:
The wall-mounted transmitter is designed for indoor usage. Do not fit it in areas which could
come into contact with water! To clean it, wipe it with a damp cloth.
5.1 Compatibility
The compatibility with the wall transmitters
21020005
and
21020006
is ensured by the
manufacturer of the receiver(s) which will have been validated according to the technical
specifications provided by EnOcean
1
. Reference should be made to the relevant product
documentation which should describe the PTM215B as a compatible transmitter as it does not
have interoperability with the entire BLUETOOTH
®***
ecosystem.
5.2 Settings
The wall transmitters
21020005
and
21020006
are delivered with a default setting described in the
section "3.2 Default radio transmission sequence" in the PTM215B
1
user manual. This setting can
be accessed in accordance with chapter "6. NFC interface" of the PTM215B
1
operating manual
using a suitable interface as described in this document.

6.1 New or existing installation
·
Check that in the operating instructions of the receiver the PTM215B is well described as a
compatible transmitter. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer of the receiver directly.
·
If the receiver functions at a shorter distance relative to the transmitter, it is subject to
interference or used outside the transmission range.
·
Search the system environment for changes that could cause the interference (for example
movement of metallic cabinets, furniture or partitions).
·
Locate the sensor or receiver in a more suitable location.
6.2 Limitation of the range of the radio signals
·
Transmitter used close to metallic objects or close to materials containing metallic elements
Observe a distance of at least 10 cm.
·
Moisture in the equipment.
·
Devices emitting high frequency signals such as audio and video systems, computer, electronic
ballasts or fluorescent tubes. Observe a distance of at least 0,5m.
