NOTE
• The power control shines red; the sandwich maker is plugged into an electrical socket.
• Green LED (goes off indicating that the plates are warmed to operating temperature, ready for baking).
• The handle lock secures the device when it is closed.
• Anti-slip feet prevent the sandwich maker from slipping.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICES
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, read these operating instructions carefully to avoid dam -
age or electric shock caused by improper use. Pay special attention to safety information.
The device may be used by children from 8 years of age and older persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience when supervised or instructed to use this device and understand
any risks. Children must not play with the device. Only children older than 8 years and under supervision
may carry out cleaning or maintenance. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under
8 years of age.
This appliance is not intended for control via remote control, external timer, or programmer.
• Before connecting to a power socket, make sure that the voltage indicated on the label is the same as that
in your power grid. If not, do not use the appliance and return it to your dealer.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly grounded socket.
• The appliance is intended for home use only and not for commercial use.
• The appliance is intended for indoor use only, not in outdoor areas.
• Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
• Only use the appliance where there is no risk of overturning it and it is out of reach of sources of heat, flam -
mable objects and damp surfaces.
• The appliance must always be placed on a level, dry and stable surface.
• After connecting the appliance to an electrical socket, the baking surfaces are heated, and so is outer casing
of the sandwich maker. Do not touch the heated surface. To open of close the device use a heat-insulated
handle. Use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula to remove the sandwich.
• When not in use, before cleaning or if it is unattended, always unplug the appliance.
• Always leave sufficient room for airflow around the appliance during operation.
• Do not place objects on the hot surface of the appliance.
• Before moving, cleaning or storing, allow the appliance to cool completely.
• After each use, clean the baking dishes see Cleaning and Maintenance.
• Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other liquid, do not clean the appliance under running water.
• If any appliance has damaged any part of the power cord or is damaged or malfunctioning, do not use it
and contact a qualified service center. The appliance with a damaged power cord or plug of a power cable is
forbidden to use.
• Repairs to the unit and the power cord may only be performed by a qualified service technician.
• The device and the power cord must not come into contact with the hot surface or lead over sharp edges.
• Do not handle the power cord with wet hands. Do not pull on the wire, hold it behind the plug when discon -
necting it. It could damage the power cord or socket.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not repair the appliance yourself or modify it in any way. Have all
repairs of this appliance carried out by a specialist workshop.
• Incorrect interference with the appliance during the warranty period will expose you to the risk of losing
any warranty.
