10 ViewSonic air
sync
Display V210
Battery & Power Properties
Your
air
sync
Display V210 has two power sources, AC (using the AC/DC
converter) or battery. To run your
air
sync
Display V210 from an AC outlet,
use the supplied AC/DC adapter cable.
It takes the
air
sync
Display V210 approximately two (2.5) hours to recharge
while not in use and four (4) hours while in use. In normal operation (when
not connected to an AC outlet), the
air
sync
Display V210 operates on battery
power alone. A fully charged battery can last up to three (3) hours depending
on power consumption factors such as the screen’s brightness setting. The use
of optional PCMCIA card accessories will also affect battery life.
CAUTION:
Replace only with an
air
panel
V110 series battery:

Complete discharge may damage the battery’s ability to recharge properly.
Battery Removal

CAUTION: Removing the battery can cause the loss of file changes. Before
removing the battery, we strongly recommend that you either:
• Drag any changed files that you want to protect to the V210’s Persistent
Storage folder (under My Computer) before removing the battery.
or
• Plug the AC Adapter into the V210 before removing the battery to prevent a
disruptive interruption of power.
!
Initial Charging:
Failure to fully charge the battery
for 5 hours before turning on the
air
sync
for the first
time may reduce the overall service life of the
battery.
Storage:
If you are not using the
air
sync
on a daily
basis, store the unit by plugging it into an AC outlet
using the AC Adapter. For extended storage,
remove the battery completely.
