Initial start−up, inspection and maintenance

Initial start−up

Initially fill the DHW cylinder from
the secondary side, then from the
primary.
If the secondary side of your DHW
cylinder cannot be filled yet, but
you want to commission your
heating system, then you can
operate your DHW cylinder with a
pressure of 2.5bar on the primary
side.

Fill the DHW cylinder from the
secondary side.

Please note:

The DHW cylinder cap does 

not

need to be tightened.

Check the compression fittings on
the primary and secondary side
for leaks and retighten, if
necessary.

3.

Check the function of safety valves
according to manufacturer’s
instructions.

Inspection and maintenance

[In Germany,] DIN1988 requires a visual inspection and (if necessary)
cleaning no later than two years after the cylinder has been taken into use
and thereafter according to demand.

System shutdown

Checking electrical connections

Only if the DHW cylinder is not to be
cleaned on the inside:
Check the compression fittings on
the primary and secondary side for
leaks and retighten, if necessary.

Checking all safety equipment

Check the function of all safety
valves.
