4.4 Operating the Comfortrol Control Unit
Operational information
Operating the Comfortrol control unit
when detached from boiler control
The Comfortrol can be programmed while
removed from the Dekamatik or wall mount
base (if applicable).
The following can be programmed:
- time
- date
- set-point values (desired temperatures)
- heating curves
- program schedule
- display contrast
- control unit information.
Programming necessitates opening of the
flip-down cover; the display then
automatically appears.
Any available values can now be changed
or set.
After being activated the first time, the
Comfortrol must be mounted in the control
itself for several minutes, before its
configuration settings will be adopted.
Note:
Heating system- and boiler-specific value
inquiries can only be made if the unit is
installed.
If the unit is not installed, the display clears
approx. one minute after the last entry.
Removing the Comfortrol control unit
Removal and installation of the
Comfortrol control unit
1.
Deactivate the Dekamatik; switch the
on/off switch

to “0”.
2.
Remove control unit from the front panel
of the Dekamatik using a screw driver.
Use flat insertion slots (see Figure).
3.
Above-described settings can now be
undertaken on the Comfortrol control unit.
4.
Insert and snap Comfortrol control unit
into place.
5.
Activate the Dekamatik; switch the on/off
switch

to “I”.
Adjusting contrast of the display

Open the flip-down cover of the
Comfortrol control unit.

Press the information button “i”.

Turn adjustment knob

until
desired level of contrast is found.
Control unit information
Open flip-down cover and press the “i”
button. The menu offers assistance and
guidance to assist in operating the
Comfortrol. Follow displayed prompts.
Single-handed operation
All programming and adjustments on the
Comfortrol can be performed
single-handedly.
