
Troubleshooting
Problem:
Mower does not start when the safety key is inserted, switch button and operator or presence
control lever are depressed
Possible Causes
•
Check to make sure the safety key has been inserted properly
•
Remove safety key, turn mower over on the side and check the blade is not obstructed
•
Is the battery fully charged? Plug charger and check light
Problem:
Mower stops while mowing (for reason other than releasing the operator presence control
bar)
Possible Causes
•
Motor may have over-loaded, the circuit breaker inside the safety key has cut power off
to protect mower
•
Remove safety key. Turn mower over and
check the blade is free to turn, also check the
discharge chute for clogging
•
Mower is trying to cut too much grass. Raise
it to a higher cutting height and try to start
again
•
Battery power has been completely depleted,
red light lights up and mower will shut off
soon
•
The safety button may not be fully engaged,
reset it and try again. Please refer to Figure
22.
Problem:
Mower vibrates excessively or makes excessive noise
Possible Causes
•
Remove the safety key. Turn mower over to see if the blade is properly tightened
•
Also check if the blade has been bent, damaged or worn out. Replace if necessary
Problem:
Mower runs but cutting performance is unsatisfactory and/or there is a loss of power
Possible Causes
•
Was the battery pack fully charged at the start?.
•
Remove the safety key. Turn the mower over and check if:
The blade is sharp
The blade is bent, loose or damaged
Deck / discharge chute or catcher are clogged
•
Cutting height may be set too low, causing heavy strain on the motor by trying to cut too
much grass. Raise to a higher cutting position
