• You should never leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Keep the appliance away from children.
• Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied, and do not use the base unit for any other purposes.
• Never remove the kettle from its base unit while in operation. Switch the appliance off fi rst.
• Take care to close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not switch off automatically and hot water
may overfl ow.
• The kettle is intended for water heating only, and is not to be used for any other liquids.
BEFORE USE
• Remove all packing material from the kettle.
• Before connecting of the kettle check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds the mains voltage in your home.
• Fill the kettle with cool water and boil it. Empty the kettle. The appliance is ready for use.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
FILLING
• Remove the kettle from the base unit.
• You can fi ll the kettle with water via the spout or opening the lid, by pressing on the lid open button.
• Do not fi ll with less than 0.5 liters of water to prevent the heating element running dry while operating.
• Do not fi ll with more than 1.7 liters of water. Avoid overfi lling to prevent the water spilling out during the boiling process.
SWITCHING ON
• After fi lling your kettle with water, place the kettle on the base unit.
• Connect plug to power supply and press On/Off switch. The appliance will begin to operate and the indicator light will come on.
SWITCHING OFF
• When the water boils, the kettle will switch off automatically and the indicator light will go off.
NOTE:
This appliance has a safety system, which automatically switches off the heating element if the appliance is inadvertently
switched when empty, or if it boils dry. In this case, let the appliance cool down completely, before fi lling with water again.
