This document covers the mounting and wiring of the Viconics VWG-40 series product. It assumes that you are an 
engineer, technician, or service person who is performing control system installation. Instructions in this document

Not covered in this document is the configuration appliance software required for fully setup the 

gateway. This includes setting host IP address, passwords, database, and other thermostat and network utilities.

Unpack the VWG and power module (either 

VWG-PS-DC

 or 

VWG-PS-AC

) and inspect the contents of the packages for 

damaged or missing components. Be sure the factory-installed ferrite is on the cord of the power supply unit. If damaged, 
notify the appropriate carrier at once and return any damaged components for immediate repair or replacement.
