Custom TAB
The Custom TAB allows setup of the VOX settings. The VOX mechanism allows setting the IP device so that
it will not transmit audio if the level it too low (i.e., an empty room). This conserves storage and allows
recording only true sound, not background noise or silence.

Threshold
The VOX menu has three function options that are selected from the drop down function list:
VOX On Threshold
– Defines the audio level at which the input turns ON. At this level, audio is
captured and sent from the device. Default setting is 1500. This setting also allows the VOX mechanism to be
deactivated, having audio ON all the time.
VOX Off Threshold
– Defines the audio level at which the input shuts OFF. Default setting is 1200.

VOX Silence Period
– Defines the time between reaching VOX OFF level and the actual audio turns
off. Default setting is 5000 ms.
